Vicki Askew, Executive Director

As the executive director of the Center for Hope & Healing, Vicki serves as the point person to help you find the right resources, while also providing spiritual direction and trauma-informed care workshops.

Vicki is a native Nashvillian and became a spiritual director after a long career in the corporate world. She received her certificate in Spiritual Direction and Formation from Lipscomb University in Nashville and her master facilitator certificate from the Trauma Healing Institute in Philadelphia.

She is married and has two adult children and two grandchildren. She is a member of Woodmont Christian Church in Nashville and is an active member of the Nashville nonprofit community. Dr. Ben Curtis

Dr. Ben Curtis is the Spiritual Director in Residence at The Center for Hope and Healing.
Retired after over four decades as Professor of Religion, Pastoral Care, and Spiritual Formation at Belmont University, Ben leads continuing education for spiritual directors through the center and is a sought-after speaker on spiritual formation. Ben is widely regarded as one of the foremost spiritual directors in the country.
Danny Bryant

Danny Bryant

Danny is passionate about serving others as a spiritual director, accompanying them as they listen to their own lives for God’s invitation to the freedom and play of love.
Danny also serves as a pastor at St. Mary of Bethany Parish in Nashville and as Athletic Director at Independence Academy. He has over ten years of experience in education as a teacher, coach, and administrator in elementary, middle, and high schools. He was trained in Spiritual Direction in the Doctor of Ministry Program at Lipscomb University in Formation and Justice.

Mary Clare received her coaching training through the Nurse Coach Collective and blends her nurse practitioner skills and nurse coach training to look at the whole person — body, mind, and spirit. Rev. Beth Pattillo

Beth is a certified Clifton Strengths Coach and a vital part of The Center for Hope & Healing team. Her work in how to marry strengths and spiritual gifts to create a path for involvement in a person’s faith has made her a sought after speaker and facilitator. Beth’s goal as a coach is to help you become more fulfilled and centered to live your best life now!

Amy Lyles Wilson, M.A., M.T.S

Amy Lyles Wilson believes spirituality and creativity are linked. To help people center themselves at that intersection, she offers spiritual direction, writing workshops, SoulCollage® sessions, and individual and small group coaching. Main areas of focus include aging, grief, and life story. She holds degrees in English, journalism, and theology, and received her training in spiritual direction from the Haden Institute. She also holds certificates from Amherst Writers & Artists and SoulCollage® Inc. As part of her commitment to continuing education, she recently completed training in narrative healthcare.
